    Apple and Beer Clafoutis

    Preparation & cooking time: 50 minutes


    Ingredients:

  • 6 apples (Granny)
  • 4 eggs
  • 2/3 cup dark beer
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 2 oz salted butter
  • 2/3 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • One teaspoon of Vanilla extract
  • A pinch of grounded Cinnamon
  • Directions:

    Peel and core the apples. Dice into 1/2 inch cubes,

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F - 180 degrees Celsius or Therm 6,

    Melt butter in pan and brown the diced apples 15 mn, mixing from time to time. Then pour 3 tbs of the brown sugar to caramelize the diced apples and cook over medium heat for 5 more minutes,

    With the Kitchen Aid whip on, beat the eggs and the rest of the sugar. Then add a pinch of grounded cinnamon, a teaspoon of vanilla extract and the flour. Mix well on medium speed. Then pour the beer and the milk and mix again for 5 mn more the preparation,

    Butter a round pie plate (10"), place the diced apples and pour the mixture over,

    Place in the oven for 30 minutes, the Clafoutis will be ready when the top gets to a nice brownish color,

    To be served lukewarm or cool!
