    Apple Lemon Tart

    Servings: 6
Preparation and cooking time: 55 minutes

    Ingredients:

  • 4 apples, Rainette from Canada or Golden
  • 1 pastry dough, store bought or go to http://www.francemonthly.com/n/0504/recipe.php/ to make your own
  • 1/3 cup (80 g) confectioner’s sugar
  • 3 Tablespoons (40 g) melted butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 lemon (organic if possible)
  • Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (180 degrees Celsius).

Line a 10 inch buttered pie plate with the pastry dough.

Peel the 4 apples and cut into fine slices. Place in the pie plate, fanning them.

Grate the rind of one lemon and spread it onto the sliced apples.

Squeeze the juice from one lemon and pour it slowly and evenly over the apples (to avoid browning).

Mix the melted butter, the sugar and the 2 eggs together and pour it evenly over the apples.

Place in the heated oven for 45 minutes.

    Serve hot or cold.

    Bon appétit !
