    Quiche Lorraine

    Servings: 6

    Baking time: 40 minutes

    Ingredients
    For the crust:
  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 4 oz. butter
  • One egg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt


  • For the quiche filling:
  • 1/2 pound ham, in thick slices
  • 1 cup of heavy whipping cream
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup of grated Swiss cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt and black pepper if you wish
  • Directions:

    For the crust, preheat oven to 400 degrees.
    Melt butter in a large bowl (you can use your microwave up to 20 seconds) and mix it with flour and egg.
    Mix them until you get a crust that you can spread with your hands into a pie plate.
    Do not cook it until you put in the filling.
    For the quiche filling, mix cream, eggs, salt and pepper in a bowl.
    Dice the ham, spread it on the crust and then gently pour in the filling.
    Add the Swiss cheese on top and bake the quiche for 40 minutes. Serve warm.
